Vision

To improve the health of Western Australians through immunisation.

Mission

To ensure the WA community is adequately protected from vaccine-preventable diseases through appropriate immunisation and to provide a resource for immunisation through promotional activities."

Be wise - Immunise.

The Immunisation Alliance of WA is a new, voluntary organisation with broad representation from the WA community including Indigenous groups, ethnic groups, rural groups, youth, seniors and parents; and the health agencies, with the aim of improving the rates of immunisation in WA. Our target is to maintain a level of 90 percent full immunisation through the critical early child hood years. We aim to communicate information relating to immunisation to the WA community based on proven medical facts.

Our terms of reference are to:
  1. Promote the optimal use of vaccines in WA to obtain maximum health benefit
  2. To assist in the facilitation of activities that promote immunisation in WA
  3. To work closely with other organisations and community groups in promoting immunisations in WA
  4. Identify barriers to immunisations
  5. Ensure that information regarding immunisation is evidence-based and includes accurate and verified data and statistics
  6. To support immunisation research and training activities
  7. Monitor and review activities
